Persevere means to be persistent and refuse to stop.  All great achievements in history have happened due to people who persevered on their chosen path.  Thomas Alva Edison (1847 – 1931) who lived during the later part of 19th and earlier part of 20th century, is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest inventor and businessman of all times with more than 1000 patents in his name.  His famous inventions include the phonograph, motion picture camera and electric bulb.  He was an embodiment of perseverance and hence chose this special visual for this poster.  This is a portrait of him on an antique print published in Germany in 1899 by A. Anderson.  I have carefully deliberated on the word 'Persevere' to expand it thoughtfully preserving the intent of that word and its underlying meaning.
