Leadership is not about position or title.  It's a way of thinking and behaving that makes others to follow the leader.  You may declare “I am the boss of you”, but Leadership begins only when people choose to “follow you” and that too for their reasons, not yours.  To have a title as a leader or power or authority to lead is not the same as being accepted as a Leader.  Leader is the label people give to those who they admire, who they think can make them excel and perform better.  Leadership is also not limited to people like CEO/Presidents.  Anybody and everybody can be a leader.  Leadership is also not a function of age.  There is no defined ideal age at which one becomes old enough to lead.  Ultimately a leader is someone who is Liked by Everyone, Acts Decisively and Earns Respect.
